Here at Divers - Elite we believe that Aura Rebreather training is the best suited to our clients as it is the only agency that allows the progression from none diver to 500 fsw Instructor with closed circuit rebreather units - Training is restricted to the CCR 1000 and CCR 2000 models for their reliability, durability, flexibility and depth rating.
Divers - Elite has a reputation for its thorough (read over thorough) training with all its courses and the Rebreather courses are no exception to this, in fact it is quite the opposite.
The Divers - Elite Aura Rebreather courses offered are amongst (if not the) toughest to complete. That said though, upon completion you will be ready to dive using a Rebreather with both confidence and more importantly competance and will be fully capable of cleaning, storing, testing and maintaining a unit.
Divers - Elite offers Aura Rebreather courses from non diver to 500 fsw Instructor. This training is done in stages, starting with Level 1. Rebreather self and buddy Rescue skills are covered on all courses.
The Level 1 course trains you to dive using a nitrogen and oxygen gas mix to a maximum depth of 100 fsw without the need for decompression stops - although the training in decompression techniques is part of the course for use in emergency situations.
The Level 2 course teaches you to safely plan and execute Closed Circuit Rebreather dives to 200 fsw using mixed gases ranging from neon, helium, trimix, hydreliox and nitrox (already covered) and using oxygen as a decompression gas. The courses also covers further the extra skills needed for using and handling these gases. Once again this is course is not designed to make you a decompression diver but rather to teach you how to make extended time and depth dives without the need for decompression stops through the use of various breatheable gas mixes.
Our Level 3 course offers the chance to really explore where others have not been and can not follow. The training is designed to make you a competent and confident to plan and execute rebreather dives to a depth of 500 fsw using various gas mixes and staged decompression techniques. This course concerns itself with mission objective training which includes Solo diving and the use of specialised equipment. Due to the nature of this environment and the gas mixes being breathed the course has a large element of diving medicine and physics.
